The Black Brothers' legendary 1970s dub plate, re-licked in fine style!

Hughie Izachaar, a multi-instrumentalist and former member of the UK reggae group Black Brothers, started in the late 1970s. Though the band only recorded two dub plates and never released formal recordings, Hughie later contributed to numerous releases on labels like Reggae on Top, Jah Warrior, and King Earthquake.

This release reunites Hughie with Jah Warrior, who produced his acclaimed 1998 album, Can’t Take the Pressure. Jah Warrior’s signature steppers style is prominent here.

For the first time, this collaboration includes Gil “Tuff Scout” Cang, who brings additional production and remixing. A veteran of Studio One, Riz Records, and Tuff Scout, Gil enhances the sound with his distinctive touch, a hallmark of ITAL COUNSELOR productions.
