Tony McKaye, AKA Exuma, was a Bahamian musician who blended roots reggae with elements of folk and Caribbean rhythms. Born in the Bahamas in 1942, McKay incorporated his cultural heritage, including Obeah—an Afro-Caribbean belief system—and junkanoo rhythms into his music. After moving to New York City, his distinctive style brought a fresh perspective to the Greenwich Village folk scene, ultimately influencing the course of reggae music. Even after his death in 1997, his roots reggae fusion legacy continues to inspire artists worldwide. This Clancy Eccles produced classic has ben reissued by Dennis Capra on his Golden Gems label.
