Every detail on the four epic cuts on this 12” represents a note in a long love letter to the band who has had the single biggest impact on the Ital Counselor Label’s ethos and mission – to release quality reggae a little way different and with the highest of musicianship.

Side A pays tribute to the vibes of Aswad horn section with a cut courtesy of trombonist, Aratz Diez. Straight to a sound boy head, this one traverses hills and valleys on its way to dub utopia. The dub, mixed with weight by James Zugasti, twists the tune into an electronic dub storm. Just as he edges the bassline into dubstep territory he brings it back to the speaker box rattling vibes of a proper reggae sound system session.

Side B sees Iñaki vamp in a late 70s/early 80s synth style. He brings out the abstract, jazzy qualities of the original while breathing new life into it. One can almost feel Beefy, Blue, Ronnie, and the whole Ital Lion Sound System crew readying for a clash with Shaka on a cold London night. A next cut, replete with dub siren, again dubs the proceedings into a 4am haze deep in a sound system dance somewhere between early 80s Ital Lion London and now a days Covid daze….Tune in if you ranking….
