Nga Han
Roots revival!
Nga Han is hard at work, having released his debut LP with Max Rivera on Roots Natty Records, “David Stone” in 2018 and earlier in 2020 releasing his second LP, “The Living Stream(Chapter One)” with Roots Unity. His third LP, recorded with Kingston Echo in Belgium is scheduled to be releases later this summer. Nga also released the single ”Go Down” recorded at Earthworks Amsterdam. 2020 will also see the release of the “Holy / Zion Place” 10” on Roots Youths Records.
Nga cut his teeth performing with sound systems in the US such as Gilead Balm Hi-Fi, Innerstanding Sound, Soul Dragon Sound System and House of Roots.
Nga has also performed with Addis Pablo, singing and playing the Nyabingi drum. Addis, son of legendary Augustus Pablo, is a featured collaborator on Nga’s debut album, “David Stone.”
In 2019 Nga performed at Reggae Geel and at a number of venues and radio stations across Belgium and Holland. He performed with Blackbird Sound in Belgium and at Cafe Zen in Amsterdam. This laid the groundwork for a return in 2020 and further work that now continues, having recently performed on King Shiloh Sound System and Backattack Sound System.
